This is a team of four riders that carry flags. Flag protocol is strictly observed in accordance with the U.S. Office of Protocol in Washington, D.C. In this competition it is essential to have precision, cleanliness, and everything matching. A proper flag salute is expected and will be judged during the “line of march” portion of the competition. Not only are the riders judged on their horsemanship and appearance, but the horses will be judged also. They must be in good health, good manners, conformation, well groomed, and preferably the same size and color.
